July 2016

We get many questions from past and current APL employees about eligibility for California unemployment benefits. This is a complicated legal issue and the rulings have not been consistent. One thing that's for certain is that if you have been denied unemployment or State disability in California, appeal the decision! Many denials have been reversed on appeal after the Judge takes the time to understand the issues. We will touch on this more next month. In the meanwhile stay safe this Fourth of July!

We have relocated to San Francisco while our new Oakland space undergoes renovation from fire damage. We have offices on both sides of the Bay to serve you! Look for our Oakland opening sometime in late spring. In the meantime, please contact us at
